The Winter 2008-09 edition of MCL Notes is now online.  It has news, info on all our programs from now through February, and more.  (I won’t spoil it for you.)  You can also sign up to receive the newsletter by email.  It comes out quarterly.

I am truly distressed to report that we are having severe problems with our public access computers in both library buildings. They are available for use but may reboot during your session. If they do, please see a staff member who will reset them and get you logged in again.

We are working with the City’s Information Systems department to diagnose and fix the problem. In the meantime, I request your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.

The Manchester City Library is proud to announce the dedication of our West Branch’s reading room in memory of Allen G. Cote. There will be a ribbon cutting on Friday, October 10th at 4:30 PM. The branch is located at 76 N. Main Street and we invite the public to join Mr. Cote’s family and library staff in honoring his memory. Mr. Cote had a great love of books and music and his generous donation will enable the library to continue providing quality services for future generations.
