This performance will take place at the Senior Center next door to the West Manchester Library at 76 North Main St. No registration required.

The book sale is coming! It is just two days away. It was announced in the Express (pdf) yesterday on page 10 and I visited several grocery stores on Saturday. We’ll be open from 2:30p to 6:30p, hoping for some good foot traffic by piggy backing on the Thursday afternoon Farmer’s Market.

For $5.00 people will receive a paper grocery bag at the entrance of the Winchell Room. Each additional bag can be bought for $5.00 per. • July 9th is Take a Pirate Journey from Wildlife Encounters - snakes and creepy things.
• July 16th is Sing songs with Marcus Gale - you know Big Dog Little Dog.
• July 23th is Dan Grady and his Marvelous Marionettes - Conway Kitty and the Edarg Brothers.
• July 30th is Mr. Phil - magic act pulls bunny out of hat.
• August 6th is Outback Adventure with Wildlife Encounters - kangaroo and koalas oh my.
• And things wind down on August 13th with The Norman Magic Experience - fun with magic.

Programs start at 6pm in the park. If it’s rainy (*sad*) things move to the Library Auditorium. Hope to see you there.

Sharing photos has been a popular activity since the invention of the camera. Almost everyone has poured over family photos at reunions, holidays and special occasions—flipping through stacks of photos and reminiscing and sharing memories. Flickr can help you share photos with more people and gives you control over who sees your photos at any time and any place on the planet. You don’t have to wait for the next family reunion to see photos of distant relatives or friends—you can see and share them as soon as you make them available on Flickr. Do you have pictures on your camera or cell phone that you want to keep?   Let us help you and have some fun learning to use Flickr–which is one of the tools what we’ve been using here at the library to store, collect and utilize  pictures.  “Fun With Flickr” is one on one help and instruction on how to use Flickr to upload, edit and share your photos. Throughout the summer children are encouraged to read, or have read to them, 10 books. Librarians and volunteers will be available daily to share stories, chart books and award prizes. Many other fun activities, raffles and programs are planned, so come to the beach with us for a summer full of reading fun! For more information call the children’s department at 624-6550 ext. 328.

What will continue to be available on Wednesday:

• Our Librarians via phone, email, and in person - we will still be able to do some searching for you.
• Our Internet computers.
• Check outs and returns. You can check books out, but you must have your library card. We can’t look up your account during this time.

What will not be available on Wednesday:

• Our online catalog from home and from inside the Libraries.
• Our online databases from home and from inside the Libraries.
• Renewals.
• Placing holds on materials.
• Reserving museum passes.
• Paying fines

A wide variety of fiction and non-fiction materials are available for all ages. In addition to the thousands of books, there are also cassette audiobooks, VHS videos, old sheet music, a few framed prints, long playing 33 1/3 records and other odds and ends.

For $5.00, you will receive a paper grocery bag, at the entrance of the Winchell Room. You can fill the bag with as many items that you can fit into the bag from the materials available in the Winchell Room. Additional bags can be purchased at $5.00 per bag.

Farmers’ Market will also be happening on the same day on Concord Street next to Victory Park. The market starts at 3:00 PM.

Participation is easy, each time you read a book fill out a short form with the book information. These forms double as raffle tickets.
