We have added two new museum passes to our collection of tourist attractions available for use by Manchester City Library cardholders. They are (drum roll, please!) Boston By Foot and Castle in the Clouds.
Boston By Foot is a historical walking tour of the city of Boston. There are about a half of dozen different tours to choose from—the choice is yours! Regularly scheduled classic walking tours are available from May through October, rain or shine. Be sure to consult the website schedule to make sure the tour you want is available for the date that you want to take your tour, since the schedule varies from day to day and week to week. This pass allows up to four people free admission to the regular tours and a special discount to the special monthly tours. Brochures are available, so be sure to ask for a brochure when you are picking up this pass.
The Castle in the Clouds is located in scenic Moultonborough, high in the Ossipee Mountain Range. The Castle in the Clouds (or Lucknow) is a 16-room mansion and 5,500-acre mountaintop estate built in the Craftsman Style type of architecture. The Castle in the Clouds is owned by the Lakes Region Conservation Trust and managed by the Castle Preservation Society, both non-profit organizations. The Castle, Carriage House, gift shop, art gallery and Cafe and Patio are open to the public during the season, usually May through October. Last year The Castle did a trial run with museum passes for their local library and it was such a success that they have opened it up to all N.H. libraries.
