June 15th, 2013 · No Comments · City Library, Events, Main Branch

Are you curious about what it takes to keep a honeybee hive?  Want to know how to get started maintaining your own bee yard or apiary?  Or maybe you are already a beekeeper and have questions or want to learn more from an expert?  Then this is the program for you!  Barbara Lawler, beekeeper extraordinaire, will present a slideshow and talk on honeybees and beekeeping here at the Manchester City Library.  Barbara is a longtime beekeeper and is  president of the New Hampshire Beekeepers’ Association.  We will also have an observation hive present and information to educate the public about honeybees.  Come learn about bee keeping and how to maintain your hives. Plan to join us on Thursday, June 27th, from 7-8:15 PM in the Winchell Room of the Main Branch.  This program is free and open to the public.  To register please call the library at 624-6550 Ext. 320.   For more information contact Yvonne Loomis at 624-6550 ext. 319.

Bee seeing you there!
