indexOn September 5, 1976, the first episode of The Muppet Show aired. The vaudeville puppet show, created by Jim Henson ran until March 15, 1981. The show featured a special human celebrity guest star and was the inspiration for several spin-offs.  My family and I adored watching  The Muppet Show together.  Of course, each of us had our favorite Muppet.  My favorite was the Swedish Chef. The juggling meat cleavers and chicken fiascoes really did me in each time!

Here is a list of Jim Henson and Muppet related materials that you can check out from the library. Take a trip down memory lane and visit with your favorite Muppet for old times sake.

It’s not easy being green : and other things to consider by Jim Henson

And now let’s get things started!  Who’s your favorite Muppet?
