If you’re looking for a good documentary, check out this list of recently acquired DVD’s. We have a biography of Stephen Hawking and another about Lance, entitled The Armstrong Lie. If you’re looking for a survival adventure, watch Chasing Shackleton (you can also read the book about the making of the movie). For those of us who are intrigued by nature, there’s America the Wild produced by National Geographic, and the BBC Earth’s Penguins: Spy in the Huddle, in which amazing footage was captured using Penguincams – “super-realistic animatronic cameras disguised as penguins, chicks and eggs.” Asteroid: Doomsday or Payday? examines the paradox between the harm posed by these space rocks and the potential for profit due to the elements they contain.  And if you’re interested the original Walking with Dinosaurs series, we’ve got the remastered edition! Other diverse topics include the tumultuous year of 1964, illegal immigration in Arizona, the secrets of Scotland Yard, how the telegraph helped Abraham Lincoln, and many others. With such a diverse list, there’s something for everyone! If the one you want is out, just place a request and we’ll let you know when it comes in.
