In addition to snow removal on Elm street there is now a new parking directive.  A winter parking prohibition is now in effect.

Per City Ordinance 71.08 (B), the Public Works Director has determined that the snow has accumulated to a point that creates a hazard. Therefore a prohibition limiting parking to only the even numbered side of City streets will go into effect as of 8:00 A.M., Friday February 20, 2015 and will continue 24 hours per day until further notice. If parking is presently allowed on only one side of the street, parking will be permitted on that side of the street. Streets exempted from this parking ban are as follows: – Elm Street – Commercial Street – Pine Street – Chestnut Street – Bedford Street THE CURRENT ODD-EVEN PARKING RESTRICTION IS HEREBY RESCINDED AND WILL BE REPLACED BY THIS PROHIBITION. In addition, there is no overnight parking permitted on the circular portions of dead-end cul-de-sacs. Those in violation of this ordinance will be subject to a $25.00 fine. Upon declaration of a Snow Emergency, vehicles must be removed from both sides of all City streets. Snow Emergencies take effect from the time determined by the Director, typically 10:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. Earlier start times and later end times may be set during unusually heavy storms. Any vehicle parked in violation of a Snow Emergency Declaration will be removed and impounded.

Well, this should prove interesting!
