I will admit it, I am a cat person. I find that cats are very self-sufficient and entertaining with their various antics. Each cat has their own unique personality. It is amazing all the different colors and sizes that cats come in. Check the books that we have on cats, mostly in the 636.8 area of the non-fiction section. These books will tell you the different type of cats, how to take care of them; along with some of their adventures. There are also stories about the effect cats can have on some peoples’ lives and personalities. Books include:

The Complete Cat Breed Book

Housecat: How to keep your indoor cat sane and sound

Living with a rescued cat

Becker, Marty. Your cat: the owner’s manual

You can find more books about cats on display in the library rotunda.

Some libraries have their own library cat, to help staff with their various duties and greet patrons. The website www.ironfrog.com/catsmap.html show lists of past and present library cats by state and by country. Did you check out the state of New Hampshire?
