Healthy Aging

September 21st, 2016 · No Comments · Books, City Library, Main Branch, West Branch

Healthy aging in today’s environment involves many factors such as physical and financial health, personal relationships and connections, intellectual stimulation and community involvement.  Visit these websites for guidance as you craft your own healthy aging plan.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regularly gathers statistics and creates publications on the state of aging and health in America.         hiking

The United States Department of Labor has a comprehensive retirement planning publication that includes online interactive worksheets.

Enjoy intellectual stimulation by enrolling in moocs, (massive open online courses).  Many are free.  Take the class at your own convenience.  All you need is an internet connection!

And lastly, expand your personal connections by stopping by the library for assistance with selecting something to read or to attend a program.  We look forward to meeting you!  Materials on healthy aging will be on display during the month of September in the display case near the elevator.
