During World War II, when much of the male population was in the trenches, the first all-women’s baseball league was formed. Dottie Hinson (Geena Davis) and Kit Keller (Lori Petty) are sisters recruited to keep the sport alive. Their teammates range from a former dance hall hostess to a home run slugger to a jersey girl to a couple of farmer’s daughters. Rated PG; 128 minutes; 1992.
