Did you read Lilly the Librarian’s post on March 5th? If so, then you’ve already heard about southern New Hampshire’s participation in The Big Read. This year’s choice is The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s jazz age novel about the dark side of the American dream. We’re offering you a whole list of events in March and April centered on Fitzgerald’s work, from movies to dancing to live jazz. We hope our programs add to your enjoyment of the book, and vice versa.

To make sure that everybody who wants to has a chance to read The Great Gatsby, we’ve borrowed 40 extra copies! Twenty will be available at each branch. To borrow yours, simply present your valid library card at the circulation desk at either library.

Thanks to Northeast Cultural Coop for providing the extra copies. For more information on The Big Read’s efforts nationwide, visit www.neabigread.org.
