It’s been a year since the library collected pasta for the New Hampshire Food Bank.

And we’re doing it again!

During the month of May, the library will be accepting donations of pasta to support the efforts of the New Hampshire Food Bank. We’ll take boxes of pasta, bags of pasta, canned pasta, whole wheat pasta, gluten-free pasta, spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, and any other kind of pasta you can find! You can drop off donations at either the main Library, 405 Pine Street, or the West Manchester Community Library, 76 North Main Street.

Every year, the Food Bank distributes over 6.5 million pounds of donated, surplus food to 412 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, day care centers and senior citizen homes. These registered agencies in turn provide the food to the over 127,200 different men, women and children throughout New Hampshire each year.

Contact Steve Viggiano at 624-6550 x 323 or sviggiano@manchesternh.gov for more information.
