Join us as we continue to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Manchester City Library main building. On June 11, 1913, the construction of the Manchester City Library began with the laying of the cornerstone and the setting of mortar by donor Frank P. Carpenter. This would begin the construction of one of Manchester’s most important landmarks. On Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at 7 PM, Jennifer Yakunovich, Museum Educator for the Manchester Historic Association will present an illustrated talk about the construction and architecture of the main library building. After the talk, participants will be invited to join a guided tour of the building.

What time is the talk on the 11th?
I really wanted to attend, but I have to work that night. Will a similar talk and tour be offered in the future?
Hi Dan,
The talk is from 7-8:30 PM! We hope to see you there!
Yvonne
Hi Jess,
This is part of our year long 100th anniversary celebration, so we’ll be having more anniversary events as the year progresses. I think this particular event is a one time event, though. Look for more anniversary celebratory events on our library calendar. We’re sorry you are unable to attend this event.
Sincerely,
Yvonne Loomis
