The Thursday Evening Book Group will be reading East of Eden by John Steinbeck.  This literary masterpiece was published in 1952 and is both a family saga and a retelling of the story of Cain and Abel. Steinbeck considered it his magnum opus – his greatest novel. Steinbeck stated about East of Eden: “It has everything in it I have been able to learn about my craft or profession in all these years.” He further claimed: “I think everything else I have written has been, in a sense, practice for this.” Plan to join us on Thursday, February 13th at 7:00 PM for some classic literary fellowship.
