This spring something very special is happening all around southern New Hampshire! The Currier Museum of Art will be offering a very special exhibit featuring William Shakespeare’s First Folio. The Folio is the book that saved many of William Shakespeare’s greatest plays from being lost forever. One of those precious copies of the Folio will be on view at the Currier from April 9th to May 1st in the free exhibition, First Folio! The Book that Gave Us Shakespeare.
Here at the library, we have a wonderful collection of books and
movies relating to Shakespeare available for you to enjoy. We are also offering several special events to mark this important literary event. They are:

A screening of Forbidden Planet on Saturday, April 2nd at 11:00 AM. Forbidden Planet is a film adaptation of Shakespeare’s play “The Tempest”.

A screening of Hamlet starring Mel Gibson on Wednesday, April 6th at 1:00 PM.

“Much Ado” About Coloring on Tuesday, April 19th at 11:00 AM in theWinchell Room. A Shakespeare and Renaissance themed coloring event.
