Renovations at the Carpenter Memorial Library Building

As part of maintaining this important historical structure the Manchester City Library Board of Trustees with the support of the City of Manchester are pleased to announce a major renovation of the Carpenter Memorial Building. The library will be receiving new flooring throughout all public areas on the 1st and 2nd floors as well new tiling in the Rotunda. The library building is now entering its 103rd year serving the citizens of Manchester.

During this major renovation the West Manchester Branch Library (76 N. Main Street) will be offering temporary extended hours to provide full library services.

From January 16th to January 29th the Carpenter Memorial Building will be closed to the public while renovations are completed. Temporary Branch hours during this time period will be:
Monday 9:30 am to 8:30 pm (Closed January 16th holiday)
Tuesday 9:30 am to 8:30 pm
Wednesday 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Thursday 9:30 am to 8:30 pm
Friday 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Saturday 9:30 am to 2:30 pm

You will be able to pick up your holds, attend programs, use the Wi-Fi and access the Internet at the branch while we work on updating the main library building. If you wish to return materials during the project you can do so at the Branch or via the exterior book drops at the main library. No items will be due back during the project dates.
