Has winter seemed to be holding on a lot longer than normal? I don’t know about you, but lately I find myself longing for and looking for some warm weather inspiration. By which I mean some art featuring warmer parts of America or the world beyond. Maybe some artworks from American’s southwest might fill the bill? I invite you to check out a few of our art books featuring American artist Georgia O’Keeffe. The Manchester City Library has a fine selection of art books showcasing Georgia’s signature paintings of America’s southwest. And if books won’t do it for you, then perhaps a trip to see some of Georgia O’Keeffe’s originals at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem Massachusetts would help you chase away your late winter blues? Georgia O’Keeffe: Art, Image, Style will be on exhibit until April 1st.
