After six months of renovations the staff of the Manchester City Library are excited to announce the grand Re-Opening of our Children’s Room on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 9:30 am.  There have been many changes to the room to improve services to our youngest library visitors.  The park theme room is bright, open and inviting. Our newly combined circulation and information desks helped to create more public space for visitors to enjoy.   You will find a dedicated toddler area surrounded by some of the historic buildings of Manchester!  The new layout also includes a more functional children’s computer area, various sized tables and chairs as well as a reading nook area just for kids!  Staff have also been busy adding new collection items for your enjoyment.

Our special thanks to the following organizations for their financial support of the project: The Manchester City Library Foundation, the Manchester City Library Board of Trustees, the Charles & Christine Zoulias Family Fund, the Cogswell Benevolent Trust, Digital Federal Credit Union, the McIninch Foundation, the Norwin S. & Elizabeth N. Bean Foundation, the Samuel P. Hunt Foundation and our Annual Library Donors.

And we especially thank our contractors, vendors, design team and colleagues at the City’s Facilities Division for their dedication in making our vision a reality. Your generosity and team spirit has created a space for many children to enjoy!

Please join us at our Open House on Saturday, April 20th from 12-2 pm. For more information please call us at 624-6550 ext. 3328.
