April 19th is the start of National Volunteer Week. Volunteers are important to so many different organizations in times of national emergencies and in times of day to day normalcy. With the state of affairs these days, volunteerism has really come into the forefront; as people try to come up with ways to supplement stretched thin institutions providing basic needs and assistance to the overall population. Volunteers are also providing ways to bring rays of brightness into this present far flung unimaginable reality, by simple acts which add up to an overall brighter hope.
Even before the dominance of COVID-19, volunteers were the behind the scene people who helped local organizations, especially non-profits, by providing manpower to fill the gaps of needs or enable the extra offerings to their community. If you are interested in volunteering opportunities in New Hampshire, check the website VolunteerNH.org.
Manchester City Library would like to extend our thanks to all the volunteers who have responded to the needs of others.
I miss the library so much. Can’t wait until it’s open.
Hope to see you soon. Stay well.
Dear Janine,
We miss you all too and hopefully we will see you soon.
Stay safe and healthy.
Hi Janine,
We miss you all, too. We’re working out logistics for slowly opening the library in a way that’s safe for everyone. Hang in there!
