Celiac Awareness Month

May 29th, 2020 · No Comments · City Library

Maintaining a gluten-free lifestyle has many ups and downs. According to the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness: “49% have sacrificed life experiences because of their gluten-free diet and/or celiac disease. 80% of people with celiac disease report having difficulty staying strictly gluten-free.” From personal experience, having family support when transitioning to a gluten-free lifestyle is important. Having support is essential, when you waiver, you will have someone there to encourage you. Understanding from friends and family is necessary when being on the gluten-free lifestyle. For most people on the gluten-free lifestyle, it is not a choice, but crucial to their health. Below are some of my family’s favorite recipes. Cooking together as a family, modifying recipes, and finding new ones is always great fun. Checkout our digital platforms (Hoopla, Overdrive, Cloud Library) they have many different cookbooks for cooking gluten free. #Celiac Awareness Month.
