Put your family research to creative use! Local author, Christine Halvorson of Peterborough, presents a lecture and workshop that will inspire attendees to dust off their boxes of family memorabilia and start mining them for golden stories—true or not! Attendees are encouraged to bring one memorabilia item or significant photograph from their family to help in the evening’s discussion.

This program is VIRTUAL, and will be hosted on Zoom.

Registration for this program is required! Sign up on the library’s Events Calendar! Once you have signed up, you will receive an email with details for joining the event.

I’m a little confused by the “true or not” part of this description. Why would anyone muddy the family history waters with untrue stories? Aren’t genealogists dealing with enough of that?

    Hi Barbara,
Thank you for your comment. I think perhaps the intent is of trying to have fun and engage and grab the interests new people – young people. Hopefully sparking interests that might turn into a lifelong love of true genealogy and history research.
    Take care and stay well.
