New Year’s Resolutions

Do have any New Year’s resolutions? Is one of your resolutions to live a healthier lifestyle? There are many different diets out there to follow, but which one to choose? Below is information on three diets: Vegan, Autoimmune Paleo, Ketogenic. The information describes some of the benefits from each diet, and the guidelines for each of them. In January 2017, I decided to follow the Autoimmune Paleo diet. This was an easier step for me because I was already gluten-free, and limiting how much dairy I had. My family follows this diet also, but each in their own way.
The library has many different resources that describes the science behind these diets, and recipe books to go along with them. One of my favorite cookbooks that the library has in its collection: Bakerita, by Rachel Conners. You can still be on a diet, and have dessert too. Bakerita has many Paleo and Vegan recipes, I have made several of these recipes. Recently, I made an orange cake with coconut yogurt frosting. This cake was delicious, it was moist, and the frosting had the consistency of “whipped cream.”
