Summer is coming, with Memorial Day being the unofficial kick off. Plan your summer adventures with the aid of the library. Growing up, camping and hiking were some of my favorite activities, especially with family. We would go camping together with our extended family, and hike and sit around the camp fire, toasting marshmallows. As the years went by, these activities became less frequent. Last year, we started to go hiking again, doing Tower Hill Pond Loop Trail and Welton Falls. You can also have fun in your own backyard. Bird watching is also another favorite activity. During the summer, you can see the little baby birds being hatched. Where I live, we see a variety of birds from the simple house sparrow to wild turkeys. Depending on where you live, you might be able to track critters. Our golden doodle loves to track, especially the deer. Check out our displays at the library, we have a variety of materials to help plan your summer adventures. From camping, to trail guides, to bird guides, and tracking manuals, the library has you covered for the summer. Also, check out passes we have available for more summer fun.
