The month of May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this is more important now than ever. The last year or so has been very hard on everyone, and the COVID-19 pandemic has taken its toll on mental health in many ways. The stress, isolation, and radical changes faced since the pandemic began in March of 2020 have tested everyone’s mental health, and it is important to know that help is available. We have many resources here in the library, from the books pictured in the display below, to the multiple health databases found on our website. However, it never hurts to ask your doctor or healthcare provider for help. Lifestyle changes like getting enough sleep, practicing mindfulness, exercise, and yoga can help, but will not cure all mental health issues, so it’s important to talk to a professional to find the best route to healing for you.
