May 29th, 2021 · No Comments · City Library, Events, Main Branch, Virtual Programs

Cinema has been an integral part of Queer artistic expression for many years. This June, the Manchester City Library invites patrons to celebrate PRIDE month through the lens of Cinema with a virtual presentation on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 7:00 pm.

Liz Ryan, Librarian and Film Scholar, will explore LGBTQ milestones and trailblazers in cinema, covering groundbreaking films like Paris is Burning, directors like Gregg Araki and Gus Van Sant, and ongoing issues such as representation behind and in front of the camera.
