Eating Local with NH Food Alliance

August 18th, 2022 · No Comments · City Library, Events, Main Branch, Virtual Programs

In conjunction with the Hooksett Public Library, Nesmith Library, and Goffstown Public Library, the Manchester City Library invites you to join us virtually via Zoom on Thursday August 25 at 7pm to learn the economic, environmental, and health benefits of eating locally!

Do you want to eat more New Hampshire grown, raised, fished, and produced foods, but are not sure where to start? Join the NH Food Alliance and agriculture producers and advocates from the Hillsborough County area to learn about the local food near you, how eating locally stimulates our state’s economy, and contributes to building climate resiliency and social equity in our communities. The presentation will be led by Colleen Stewart, the Communications Coordinator for the New Hampshire Food Alliance. The NH Food Alliance is statewide network coordinated by the Sustainability Institute at the University of New Hampshire, and puts on NH Eats Local Month. She and guest speakers will share their thoughts and ideas, with ample opportunity for attendees to ask questions.

For questions, call Tess Kimsey at 603-624-6550 x7620 or email [email protected] Signup for this program is not required, but suggested! Visit www.manchesterlibrary.org and click on “Upcoming Events” to view the library calendar. Or copy and paste this link into your browser.
