Building and understanding family trees

April 4th, 2023 · No Comments · City Library, Events, Main Branch, NH Room, Virtual Programs

The Manchester City Library invites you to an informative session on building your family tree. This program is to be held on Tuesday, April 11 at 6:30 pm via Zoom. Join us to learn how to better understand this part of genealogy!

This program will teach you how to build and better understand your family tree. We will discuss the differences of pedigree and family group trees, as well as how to gather accurate information, and how to understand and analyze relationships. We will also cover ways to share and publish family trees.

Eric Migdal is a 10 year resident of Pompton Lakes NJ. He has been doing family history research for over 28 years, assisting clients with family tree building, DNA test analysis, and safely and effectively contacting unknown family members. Genealogical research is personal to Migdal. As an adoptee, he spent many years searching for his biological family with very few results. His starting information was wrong and the assumptions made were also incorrect. He was able to use DNA testing to assist with finding the truth about his family and it ultimately lead to the correct family.
