Are you Ready for a Solar Phenomenon?

March 2nd, 2024 · 4 Comments · Books, Children, City Library, Events, Library Displays, Main Branch, News, Teens

A total eclipse is coming to parts of New Hampshire on April 8th.  There will be a total eclipse in the upper third of New Hampshire and 95% eclipse coverage in Manchester.  Check out the display for a map on the eclipse in New Hampshire and materials on the eclipse and other related topics.

The library is excited about the eclipse and we are offering eclipse glasses to ensure that everyone can view the eclipse safely.  Feel free to pick up a pair of eclipse glasses at the Information Desk starting March 1st while supplies last.  See the resources below for times, maps, and ways to get involved in this fun, rare event.

    Hi there,
You can get the solar eclipse glasses at either the West Branch library or the Main Library on 405 Pine Street. Come into the library and visit the reference desk at either place. It is one pair of glasses per person. You can call us at the Reference Desk at 603-624-6550 ext. 7620 for more help. Thank you and have a pleasant eclipse.
