Did you know that September boasts a National Pancake Day on the twenty-sixth? A survey conducted in the December 2023/January 2024 issue of Civic Science called, “the Most Popular Breakfast Foods among Consumers in the United States,” found that most Americans favor eggs for breakfast. Most of the library staff would agree that eggs are their favorite breakfast food, followed closely by pancakes and waffles. Additionally, coffee was the preferred beverage of choice. Myself, I love waffles and hot chocolate. What is your favorite food and beverage? Are you one of those people that skip breakfast? According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, nearly 25% of U.S. adults skip breakfast. Come check out our “National Pancake Day: Celebrating Breakfast” display at the library. See what the top 5 pancake flavors and toppings are in America. Grab a cookbook from the display and learn a new breakfast dish! We hope to see you soon.
