Library Administration Seeks Cost Saving Measures

August 30th, 2012 · 2 Comments · Books, Children, City Library, Main Branch, News, Technology

As budgets shrink and costs continue to rise, the library administrative team is continually assessing the library’s current practices to ensure we are utilizing the funds afforded us by the city as responsibly as possible. We have been investigating one such cost saving measure, which will streamline staff time, save on receipt paper, and postage by consolidating our hold pick up location at the main library.

Beginning August 30, 2012, all children’s and adult materials awaiting pickup at the main library will be held on the main floor.  Systems administrators for our GMILCS consortium will be making the changes on Wednesday, August 29.  This change will not affect materials requested for pickup at West.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Circulation Manager, Claudia Mayer, at 624-6550 ext. 313 or [email protected].

    Thanks.

    Hi Jamie,

No this does not include the museum passes. They are still available at the children’s room circulation desk~so pick them up there.
Thank you and have a wonderful day!
    Sincerely,
    ~Yvonne~
