A presenter from the NH Astronomical Society will discuss the phases of the moon and the recent landing of NASA’s Mars rover, Curiosity. A skywatch observation will follow outside if weather permits. A “skywatch” is simply a gathering of amateur astronomers with a focus on outreach and education for a private group or for the public at large. A skywatch is by definition “beginner-friendly.” All ages are welcome and no registration is required.
Two skywatches are planned:
October 17th at the West Branch Library Meeting Room from 6:30-8:15 PM
AND
October 22nd at the Main Library auditorium from 4:00-5:30 PM.
