The Manchester City Library offers the ability to download ebooks, audiobooks, and movies using your Manchester City Library card through services such as Libby, Cloud Library, and Hoopla. All of these services can be accessed through an app or web browser.

Cloud Library allows you to borrow and download eBooks and audiobooks.
- To sign into Cloud Library, you will need your library card number and PIN.
- You can have up to three titles on loan at the same time.

Hoopla is now available to Manchester City Library cardholders and allows you to borrow audiobooks, eBooks, comics, movies, TV shows, magazines, or music to stream or download to your device.
- To log into Hoopla you will need your library card number, and will need to provide an email address to create a Hoopla account.
- Each month you will be able to borrow up to three Instant Borrows (immediately available with no wait times) and two Flex Borrows (one copy/one user at a time; may or may not have a wait list before you can borrow the item).

Study one of 100 different languages, including ESL, right on your PC, laptop or mobile device using Transparent Language. Practice all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In addition to online lessons, conversation practice and games, you’ll be able to connect with fellow language learners in Transparent Language’s online communities.
Note: To use Transparent Language, you need to access it through the library’s main website. The link above leads you to the Databases page. You will find the link to Transparent Language about half-way down the page. You will need to provide a first name and e-mail address to Transparent Language to begin using this service.
The library offers a number of online databases you can use to find articles, learning resources, and other types of information on different topics.
These include (among others):
- NoveList Plus: A Reader’s Advisory resource to help you find your next book using a favorite author, title, topic, or genre.
- Creativebug: Unlimited access to thousands of fine art and hand-crafting classes and the ability to download hundreds of patterns, templates, and recipes.
- New Hampshire Newspapers: NewsBank carries issues of the New Hampshire Union Leader from January 1st, 1989 to today.
- Driving-Tests.org: Prepare for your driver’s license test with one or more practice driving tests, and download copies of the State of New Hampshire’s Driver’s Manual as well.
