The Manchester City Library is a proud member the Greater Manchester Inter Library Consortial System, or GMILCS (pronounced Gee-milks) for short.
This means that Manchester City Library card holders can borrow books from any one of the 13-member southern New Hampshire libraries, increasing the number of borrowable items from our local collection of 45,000 to the consortium's shareable collection of 1.4 million titles.
Access Your Account
To log into your account, input your 14-digit Manchester City Library card number and PIN number (the last four digits of your phone number is the default password.) If you still can't access your account, please call the library at 603-624-6550.
As a part of GMILCS, we get additional services!
- Patrons can visit any member library to check out, return, or pick up books.
- Instead of waiting two weeks for an inter-library loan delivery, there are van deliveries 3 times per week of GMILCS items.
- GMILCS also provides free access to the cloudLibrary ebook and e-audio book digital collection.
GMILCS is made up of the following member libraries:
- Amherst Town Library
- Bedford Public Library
