Main Branch

  • The Auditorium seats 175 in a theater style.  It has a stage and spotlights.
  • The Winchell Room at Main Library seats 50 when arranged with chairs and 25 with tables and chairs.
  • The Hunt Room at Main Library seats 15 around a large conference table.

West Community Branch Library

  • The Large Meeting Room at West Branch seats 30.
  • The Small Meeting Room at the West Branch seats 4.

Fees

There is no fee if your organization is a registered non-profit serving the Manchester Community.  Any non-profit charging an admission fee and for-profit organizations will be charged the following fees:

Main Branch

  • $250 — Winchell Room
  • $150 — Hunt Room
  • $400 — Auditorium (piano use $90)

West Community Branch Library

  • $50 — Small Meeting Room
  • $100 — Large Meeting Room

All fees must be paid one full week before the event.

We appreciate being given prompt notice of meeting/event cancellation either in person, by mail, by phone, or via the form below.

Equipment

Equipment for meetings at the Main Library must be requested at least 7 days in advance.

Available equipment at the Main Library:

In Any Room

  • Portable projector and projection screen
  • 50-foot extension cord
  • Internet access
  • Wooden easel

In the Auditorium

  • Piano ($90 fee)
  • Mic/sound system
  • Podium
  • Projector with laptop hookups

No equipment is available at the West Branch.

Meeting Room Policies

  • Food and Drink is allowed in the meeting rooms with prior permission only. The Winchell Room has access to a small kitchen. There are no kitchen facilities available at the West Branch Library.
  • Advertising of your event is the responsibility of the organization sponsoring the event. We would be glad to post any advertisement you provide one week prior to the program.
  • Security. When the Library Director determines that the proposed use of the meeting room(s) will require additional security or police presence, the Booking organization shall be responsible for pre-paying all of the expense.  Please see the Meeting Room Policy for our full regulations.
  • Parking. The Main Library is surrounded by metered parking and is a pleasant walk from the Chestnut St parking garage. The Branch Library is served by a small parking lot behind the building and access via West St.
  • Groups using the meeting rooms must leave them as they found them. Each group must respect the rights of the next group and conduct activities that are legal and do not disrupt the orderly running of the library.
